AMIR HOSSEIN GHOLIZADEH

At gholizadehrugs, we are proud to continue a legacy of artistry, tradition, and sustainability by producing exquisite handmade carpets in the renowned Heris and Sultanabad styles. Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Kurdistan and surrounding regions, our rugs embody centuries-old craftsmanship, refined by generations of skilled weavers, while embracing responsible and natural production methods for today’s discerning customers

THE TIMELESS BEAUTY OF HERIS AND SULTANABAD CARPETS

Our primary expertise lies in the weaving of Heris and Sultanabad carpets. The Heris rug, originating from the foothills of Mount Sabalan in northwest Iran, is celebrated for its robust, geometric medallion patterns, exceptional durability, and a color palette that balances tradition and modernity. These rugs are admired worldwide for their ability to harmonize with both classic and contemporary interiors.

THE ART OF NATURAL DYEING

At the heart of what sets gholizadehrugs apart is our unwavering commitment to authentic, eco-friendly production methods. Each rug is colored using traditional herbal dyeing techniques—a time-honored process wherein natural plant extracts, roots, barks, and minerals are meticulously prepared and skillfully applied to high-quality, hand-spun wool.

ETHICAL HANDMADE CRAFTSMANSHIP

We deeply value the well-being of our skilled artisans, working in close partnership with independent weavers and families across Kurdistan. By paying fair wages and supporting traditional livelihoods, we seek to nurture a sustainable ecosystem that benefits communities and preserves age-old weaving practices. All our wool is sourced locally and ethically, supporting regional shepherds and ensuring traceability throughout our supply chain.

Every carpet that leaves our workshop is a unique masterpiece—a tapestry of cultural memory and modern aesthetic sensibility. Whether selected as a centerpiece for elegant homes, high-end projects, or discerning collectors, a gholizadehrugs creation is more than a floor covering; it is a living piece of history, art, and sustainable craftsmanship.
