Discovered in 1949, frozen inside the tomb of a Scythian noble in the Altai Mountains of Kazakhstan, the Pazyryk rug is a marvel of survival and style. Preserved for over two millennia in ice, it emerged remarkably intact—its colors bold, its patterns detailed, its story still very much alive.
